Is there a way to specify the width for the image column on the products page?
E.g. is http://store.dinomites.co.za/products/learn-to-speak-xhosa

I have a large amount of text, but as the image column gets most of the screen, my text goes on downwards really long - can I control how much width goes to image and how much width goes to text?

The themes have the different thumbnail/preview image dimensions and the layouts hardcoded - that's basically all a theme is. You can try and hack it with some custom css, but I wouldn't recommend it as the browser will still get 610 pixel wide images (for that theme) regardless and you would likely break the responsive aspect unless you're a master at writing CSS.

You could try a different theme?

Or you could simply upload larger images; at least 610px wide.

Thanks for the replies. Have tried the 5 "standard" themes, Memphis is the way I'd prefer to go. Uploading a larger image would defeat the purpose - I'm trying to shorten the length needed for "large amounts" of text
